3 Nervous System Tools - Your Reset Toolkit

Three of my most-loved tools to soothe and settle your nervous system. Return to them whenever you need to come back to calm.

  • Humming: gentle vibrations that travel through the body, stimulating the vagus nerve and guiding you into your calm, rest-and-digest state. Beautiful first thing in the morning, or any moment you feel overwhelm rising.
  • Finger Tapping: softly tap or squeeze the sides of your fingers to signal safety to your brain's stress centre. Your hands are always with you, so this one comes everywhere you go.
  • The Rescue Hug: cross your hands over your chest, gently alternate tapping with a soft rocking motion. This soothes both sides of the brain and brings you back into that calm, settled place anywhere, any time.

The magic isn't in doing them perfectly. It's in bringing them in, in small ways, until they become the resources your body naturally reaches for.
